I woke up this morning to wet snow and rain slapping the window--not a lot of either, but more than I wanted to see when I got up. (It's stopped now.) As soon as October ended, the weather turned wetter and chillier, and there are tons of leaves down on the ground, although there are also still plenty on the trees. November=not my favorite month. Nova Scotia almost always starts tasting like autumn before the equinox. (I assume there are places where that's not true? But it seems to be true in many places.)
